Real world data (RWD) are becoming more important, with both regulators and payers increasingly asking for real world evidence (RWE) to help understand the context of new therapies and the likely clinical and economic impact. This is especially true for rare conditions where regulators may approve treatments with limited data.
Developing high quality RWE acceptable to payers and regulators depends on identifying the right data sources and applying these data appropriately. In this paper, we outline common types of real world datasets, highlight considerations when deciding which ones to use, and give examples of how IQVIA has helped clients找到正确的数据源to answer their research question.
